Love in Galilee
Synopsis
At the age of 28, Faten is pushed by her family to marry a man she has not chosen. Convinced that this new life could bring her a long-awaited freedom, she finds herself all alone facing her own disillusionment. That is when she decides to return to her hometown in South Lebanon in search of a love she never received.
Director’s biography
Nader Chalhoub was born in 1994 in Tunis. After completing a BA in audiovisual studies at IESAV in Beirut, he enrolled in the cinematography department at La Fémis in Paris and graduated in 2021. Love in Galilee is his graduation film.
Layla Menhem was born in 1994 in Montreal. After completing a BA in audiovisual studies at IESAV in Beirut, she enrolled for a MA in directing at La Sorbonne in Paris and graduated in 2020. She is the co-director of the film Love in Galilee
