Abed is a nine-year-old child who works with his abusive father in a restaurant. One night, he must face his extreme fear of darkness when he is forced to buy a pack of cigarettes for his father.
Abedalsalam Alhaj completed his MFA in 2010, majoring in cinematography and directing, and has produced and directed several films that were screened at many international film festivals throughout his career. Also, since 2012, Alhaj has been the Capacity-Building Manager at Jordan’s Royal Film Commission, where he oversees educational programs for Jordanians working in or aspiring to work in the film industry. Moreover, he has taught filmmaking for over two years at well-known universities and institutions in Jordan and designed a curriculum for youths and children in filmmaking.
