Omar, a gangster on the run in Algiers, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison by the French authorities. His only way around this is to stay in Algeria and lay low. He tries to get used to normal life, but he clings to his old habits. He meets a group of exuberant young thugs; they partner up and enjoy themselves in the underbelly of Algiers’ infamous neighbourhoods including ram fights and clandestine camel races. But trouble is always around the corner and Omar must fight to redeem himself and protect his loved one.
